Soo International 500 taking strides to commemorate drivers with a ” I-500 Drivers Memorial Building” Project.

Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan (Thursday, November 5, 2015): The Soo International 500 Project is reaching out to present a heart felt attempt to honor past drivers of the infamous Soo International 500 Snowmobile Race and the sport of snowmobile oval endurance racing. (Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan)` The effort to construct a “Drivers Memorial Building” is a special tribute to those who have been instrumental in making the Soo I-500 one of the worlds most recognized winter sporting events and brings a vast arena of fans, athletes and winter sports enthusiasts of all types together to enjoy oval endurance racing as a sport that continues to grow in popularity over decades of driver participation.

It’s the objective of the I-500 Project to construct this monumental building for past driver recognition while giving current drivers a place to pay mutual respect to their predecessors. The Soo I-500 “Drivers Memorial Building” will support an atmosphere whereby current drivers can enjoy paying tribute, reflect on memories and relax on their own time. A total comfortable atmosphere designed with ALL drivers in mind.

Historically, the Soo I-500 continues to be a volunteer project. Therefore, YOU are urged to support the basis behind this outstanding and unique tribute to past
Soo- I-500 drivers.

Simply put….The Soo I-500 “Drivers Memorial Building” project is being funded by means of nominal donations or purchase of a special plaque to honor a past driver selected by individuals just like YOU!
