MISS I-500 Pageant

A tradition and an integral part of the International 500 Snowmobile Race Week, is the 13th Anniversary of the Miss I-500 Pageant. The date is Friday, January 31st, 2025 at the Dream Makers Theater inside Kewadin Casinos Hotel & Convention Center in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, located just four miles east of the track.

On the day of the pageant, the day before the 55th Running of the #SooI500, contestants are introduced to the audience in the form of a fashion show. Each contestant will wear either a costume or uniform that reflects her personality, hobbies, career aspirations, or sports affiliations. There is also an onstage interview for all the ladies to share their thoughts and win the hearts of the crowd.

In the final event, contestants model a floor-length evening gown; complete with winter accents (Faux Fur, Ugg-Like Boots, Etc.) that pair perfectly with the theme of the race.

The 13th Anniversary of the Miss I-500 Pageant on Friday, January 31st, 2025, starts at 7:00p.m.

The pageant is free to attend (you don’t need to buy an I-500 button to get in) We encourage the audience to bring cash to “vote” for their favorite Jr. Miss and Miss International candidates by putting money in the candidate’s designated container. Each girl has a container at the back of the tent with her name and photo on it. The audience pays $1.00 per vote and at the end of the event, the girl with the most money in her container wins the title of Audience Choice. 100% of the money goes to Pink Ribbon Riders to help women with breast cancer to make ends meet during treatment.
