REGISTRATION OPENS DECEMBER 6th 2PM Eastern Time

Professional race teams, manufacturers, and drivers arrive a week prior to the main event. Pole Qualifying commences on consecutive days starting on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 and conclude on Thursday, February 5th, 2026. The official race is hosted on the only one-mile ice oval snowmobile track in North America. Drivers reach speeds around the 120mph mark as they attempt to complete the full 500 miles and take home the coveted title of I-500 Winner.

But first, you must Qualify into the most grueling and prestigious snowmobile race in the world. The Top 38 Teams after Four (4) Sessions of Pole Qualifying, to be held over Two (2) Days, on Wednesday-Thursday, February 4th-5th, 2026, are Locked In to the 57th Running of the International 500 Snowmobile Race on Saturday, February 7th, 2026

2025/2026 ISR/USAC Membership insurance program. Mandatory for drivers, optional for crew members!0

For the 2025/2026 season ISR/USAC is providing excess medical insurance for all drivers at a reasonable rate for the coverage afforded. Please be aware you must have this coverage in place before you can participate in any ISR affiliated event.

Meijer Pro Shootout IV and the Kokosing-Alberici Traylor Old 600 Mods Shootout IV are all midweek racing events that will see the very best pro riders get that all important track time on the legendary One-Mile ice oval under race conditions

Meijer Pro Shootout IV Format

  • Meijer Pro Shootout IV Qualifying takes place starting on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 and concludes on Thursday, February 5th, 2026 with Final Round Qualifying
  • The Top 16 Overall Fastest Times from the Two (2) days of Qualifying are locked in!
  • The Odd Qualifiers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19) and the Even Qualifiers (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20) will each run a 7-Lap Heat Race taking the Top Four (4) finishers and locking them into Meijer Pro Shootout IV
  • Meijer Pro Shootout IV – 25-Lap Main Event with the “Best 8” Professional Riders in the World

Kokosing-Alberici-Traylor Old 600 Modifieds Shootout IV Format

  • Kokosing-Alberici-Traylor Old 600 Modifieds Practice / Group Qualifying (One Session) will take place on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 at 3:00p.m.
  • The Top 16 Overall from each divisions Practice / Group Qualifying are locked into their respective shows
  • The Odd Qualifiers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15) and the Even Qualifiers (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16) will each run a 7-Lap Heat Race taking the Top Four (4) finishers and locking them into the Feature
  • Kokosing-Alberici-Traylor Old 600 Modifieds Shootout IV – The “Best 8” will race in a 15 Lap Feature

Soo Vintage Shootout Format

  • ALL Divisions Racing in the Soo Vintage Shootout will have their own Practice / Group Qualifying (One Session, Per Division), on Tuesday February 3rd, 2026 Starting at 3:00p.m.
  • The Order of Divisions throughout Race Day will be as follows:
    Single Super Stock
    340 Fan Super Stock
    440 Fan Super Stock
    340 Free Air Super Stock
    440 Free Air Super Stock
    F500
    Sportsman 600 (Pro Only)
  • ALL Riders from each divisions Practice / Group Qualifying are locked into their respective shows
  • The Qualifier Heat Races will set the fields for each Divisions Feature
  • Soo Vintage Shootout – Each Division will race in a 7-Lap Feature

I-500 Special Awards

If you ask snowmobile racers “What’s the one to win?” They’ll tell you its the I-500!

It’s the world’s longest, toughest, fastest and most-exciting snowmobile endurance race, bar none! The I-500 is a prestigious race to win. Winning the race takes nothing but the most outstanding performance of even the most skilled, professional drivers.  Everyone wants the HARDWARE, but there is only one way to get it. The Directors of the I-500 present trophies to the top 15 teams, as well as other prestigious awards to various teams and finishers.

These include:

Ladi Filipcheck Award: Presented to the driver that moves up the most from starting position (i.e. starts in 22nd position and finishes 2nd).

Joe Burch Memorial Trophy: Named after an influential past director, this award recipient is selected by race officials for outstanding sportsmanship.

Rokie Talentino Memorial Mechanic Award: Presented to a pit-crew for their outstanding sportsmanship. The recipient is selected by race officials and is usually presented by the Talentino family.

Lynwood-Skid-Roe Sportsmanship Memorial Award: Presented to the race team that shows the best sportsmanship within the pits during race week.

Keith Rutledge Memorial Plaque: This award is kept at the I-500 Track Center and is displayed at various events attended by I-500 staff. The plaque proudly displays past I-500 winners.
